Die Sektion Berufs- und Wirtschaftspädagogik der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Erziehungswissenschaft hat ihre Frühjahrstagung im Jahre 2000 am 30. und 31. März an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena durchgeführt. Die Programmgestaltung und Ausrichtung erfolgten durch den Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftspädagogik. Im Mittelpunkt des wissenschaftlichen Teils der Tagung standen Fragen der ,.Modernisierung der Berufsbildung in Europa". Hierzu wurden in vier Symposien in jeweils acht Referaten neue Befunde berufs- und wirtschafts pädagogischer Forschung vorgetragen und diskutiert. Die Symposien er streckten sich auf vier zentrale Forschungsfelder der Disziplin: 1. Symposium 1: Neue Ansätze und Befunde fachdidaktischer Lehr !Lernforschung (Leitung: Hermann G. Ebner, Mannheim) 2. Symposium II: Didaktisch-curriculare Aspekte der Modernisierung der Berufsbildung (Leitung: Reinhard Czycholl, Oldenburg) 3. Symposium 111: Ordnungspolitische, institutionelle und international vergleichende Aspekte der Modernisierung der Berufsausbildung un- weiterbildung (Leitung: Manfred Eckert, Erfurt) 4. Symposium IV: Modernisierungsaspekte der Berufsbildung aus histori scher Sicht (Leitung: Günter Pätzold, Dortmund; Martin Kipp, Harn burg). Die für den Druck überarbeiteten und gekürzten Beiträge zu diesen Symposi en finden sich - soweit bis zum Redaktionsschluss vorlagen - in diesem Band. Die Vielfalt der vorgetragenen Forschungsergebnisse in inhaltlicher und methodologischer Hinsicht, die hohe Zahl der teilnehmenden Mitglieder der Sektion und der aus- und inländischen Gäste an der Jenaer Tagung, die intensiven Diskussionen in den Symposien und nicht zuletzt die Vielzahl von Referenten aus dem Kreis des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses der Disziplin zeigen die Breite und Lebendigkeit der berufs- und wirtschaftspädagogischen Forschung an den deutschen Universitäten.
