The central goal of Buddhism is to initiate a transformative process that would help people become less capable of perpetrating suffering, stress, and sickness of the mind. The Lord Buddha diagnosed the sickness (suffering), identified its cause (the original cause of suffering), explained that the sickness was curable (the cessation of suffering), and showed the way to treat the sickness (the way leading to the cessation of suffering).In this course, you will be introduced to the above in detail. I support the Buddhist core teachings with other religious/spiritual teachings to get a holistic understanding of our problems and their solutions. All our life, we work hard to fulfil our desires. One dream fulfilled spawns another. We seek happiness, but for most of us, we think happiness comes with having more. Instead of being content with an ordinary, simple life, our vanity causes us to want more wealth, success, glory, power, and so on. Our ambitions are endless. But the truth is, more isn't necessarily better and it can have adverse effects. In the endless pursuit of our desires, we actually create much suffering for ourselves.The Buddhist sutras tell us that people with many desires suffer greatly because they're constantly seeking self-benefit and gain. When we give rise to desire, we act in order to seek things. When we can't get what we want, afflictions arise and we suffer. We might get into arguments with people over what we want. We might tire ourselves out scheming to get what we want. Our efforts to fulfil our desires bring us much affliction. Those with few desires don't suffer like this.If we want to get rid of our afflictions, we have to know their source - our desires. We can then get rid of them by being content. Contentment leads to spiritual riches and a sense of satisfaction and happiness with what we already have. With fewer desires, we can sleep soundly at night without worries. Our hearts can be at peace. After all, what do we really come into the world for? What is life really about? Only by turning toward the Dharma can we begin to understand life's true value and purpose. We can get perspective and see things in a positive light. A sense of gratitude will fill our hearts, and we'll know how to make use of our lives in the most meaningful way, by contributing to the greater good.

Several different types of acoustic logs are used, based on the frequencies used, the way the signal is recorded, and the purpose of the log. All these logs require fluid in the well to couple the signal to the surrounding rocks. Four types will be described here: acoustic velocity, acoustic waveform, cement bond, and acoustic televiewer.Historically, the primary and the most routine uses of acoustic logs in reservoir engineering have been

I am Aman Varma, Counseling Psychologist and a man who has a business, social life and so many things going on that occasionally I will worry just like you. In the past, I had developed an Anxiety disorder and excess worry issues. I recovered from them and decided to share my insights as well as a CBT psychotherapy-based plan to overcome worry & anxiety. In this course, I share with you a step-by-step plan to put an end to this burden and live mental light. 'Worry' is the epitome of non-productive distress, because although it is by definition distressing, it also impairs the person's ability to resolve any problems that realistically underlie the worry. Description
This course is built on Understanding Trauma: The Basics. The instructor will walk learners through a quick review of the basics of trauma. After this, learners will take a deeper dive into the impact of trauma both neurologically and behaviorally in order to gain a better understanding of themselves and others.When an intense stressor or threat happens, a biological cycle occurs to prepare the body for mobilization. However, when this cycle is unable to complete the body will become stuck in the trauma response. When stuck, people might find themselves in a chronic state of either mobilization (fight or flight) or immobilization (freeze or collapse). The instructor will review the areas that "stuckness" can happen in this cycle and then tie together the meaning of unmet needs, the threat response system, and self-protective defenses through the lens of a trauma cycle. Finally, tools are offered to support others and oneself when in this system to move out of stuckness into a complete cycle.What is primarily taught in your course? Understanding the impact of trauma on the behavioral and biological responses that might come from a survival system. In addition, learners will gain tools to work with the threat response system.

TransMac is an intuitive program that can copy files to and from Macintosh disks, enabling you to create and burn CD or a DVD images with ease. It's a powerful software solution that allows you to copy any type of file to and from Mac OS X-formatted disks which can't be accessed from Microsoft's operating system.

Thanks to a very clean and easy to navigate interface, TransMac is designed to allow users transfer files to and from HFS (Mac OS Standard) and HFS+/HFSX (Mac OS Extended and case sensitive) disks. The application automatically detects the Macintosh disks, regardless if they are regular hard drives, CDs, DVDs or removable drives. Of course, it allows users perform a number of actions, including reading and writing data, but also copy, rename and delete files and folder just like on a regular disk.
Additionally, TransMac comes with dedicated features to help users format any disk to be later accessed from Mac OS X, but also burn images in various formats, including DMG, IMG and ISO. Last but not least, it sports a comprehensive search tool to search for virtually any type of file, but also for extensions and other type of data that may be stored on the Macintosh hard disks.
There are three different settings menus, "General", "PC" and "Mac", so you can even configure the way you access Mac-formatted disks. For instance, TransMac supports read-only access but, in case you wish to benefit from all its features, you need to enable read/write access. TransMac works flawlessly and it doesn't affect computer performance at all, leaving just a minimal footprint on hardware resources. Windows 7 users however need administrator privileges to enable all features of the app.
This is one of the most effective ways to control your Macintosh hard disks from a Windows workstation and thanks to its straightforward interface and a comprehensive help file, it can be safely used by all types of users.
